The Jaime Foxx vampire movie film break-down

Jamie Foxx stars as Dave Franco and Jamie Foxx is the star of "Day Shift", a new movie about vampire hunting. The story follows a blue collar father who wants to provide a comfortable life for his daughter. However, his job as a pool cleaner in San Fernando Valley is just a façade for his true source of income: hunting and killing vampires for the International Union of Vampire Hunters.

The premise sounds interesting, but can J.J. Perry deliver the goods?

Jamie Foxx and a young lady named Vampire are in a crazy action scene that opens "Day Shift". The sequence then turns into a mad fight between the two. I feel like the movie really has fun with this kind of rag-doll physics in its action scenes, making those sequences pop in a way that a lot of the Netflix action movies (or action blockbusters these days) don't. When you watch a scene like this, it is easy to remember the old saying "action speaks louder that words", and while I agree with the statement, I think the key to "Day Shift's" success is the way it uses dialogue and action to develop the characters and further the plot. For example, after Jamie Foxx's character finally kills the vampire, he has a hilariously dry exchange with his partner about how he "thought she was going to turn into a bat or something." These are the moments that make "Day Shift", a movie unlike any other.

Day Shift has a lot of fun and is not too serious. I was able to enjoy it the entire way. It had original action and didn't require me to think too much. I enjoyed it immensely. It had good humor and I found myself laughing out loud a fair bit. It also drew inspiration from the brilliant vampire films Blade and Lost Boys, two of my all-time favorite films. The acting was solid, the directing was brilliant and vampire movie review the cinematography quite impressive. Day Shift is a film that's both entertaining and lighthearted. It's very entertaining.

Day Shift was a mixed film. One side is that there is lots of action and some fun characters (the brother and Seth), and on the other, the villain was terrible and there were many mediocre people. It seemed like there were some scenes missing that had been cut. Bud's neighbor behaves like she's a friend, even though she only had 3 minutes of screentime before the final scene. This helps the best characters shine even more. It's a fun movie overall, but could have been more.

I almost forgot about Snoop Dogg. He is great in Day Shift. He makes the movie worthwhile. His humor is infectious and he delivers some memorable lines. But more than that, he's just so natural in the role. He's natural at the role.
